Levofloxacin hydrochloride is the left-handed form of ofloxacin. Its antibacterial activity is about twice that of ofloxacin. Its main mechanism of action is to inhibit the activity of bacterial DNA gyrase (bacterial topoisomerase II) and hinder bacterial DNA replication. . It has the characteristics of broad antibacterial spectrum and strong antibacterial effect.

Characteristics:

This product is an off-white to light yellow crystalline powder, odorless and bitter in taste. This product is slightly soluble in water, very slightly soluble in ethanol, and insoluble in ether; easily soluble in glacial acetic acid, and slightly soluble in 0.1mol/L hydrochloric acid solution.

Synthesis:

The synthesis process of levofloxacin hydrochloride in the prior art involves a condensation reaction between levofloxacin carboxylic acid and N-methylpiperazine under the action of a catalyst, and then the solvent is evaporated, crystallized in a crystallization solvent, and dried to produce levofloxacin. The dry product of levofloxacin is prepared. Finally, levofloxacin is salted with hydrochloric acid and chemicalbook is used to crystallize it multiple times with ethanol to obtain levofloxacin hydrochloride. The synthesis process in the prior art has the following problems: 1) Levofloxacin crystals need to be prepared first, and then salted with hydrochloric acid. The process is lengthy and cumbersome, and difficult to operate; 2) Using a catalyst when preparing levofloxacin will introduce impurities, resulting in the final The purity of the prepared levofloxacin hydrochloride is low and needs to be refined again.

Usage [Indications]:

This product is suitable for the following mild, moderate and severe respiratory infections caused by sensitive bacteria: acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis, acute attack of chronic bronchitis, diffuse bronchiolitis, bronchiectasis combined infection, pneumonia, pharyngitis, Tonsillitis (abscess around the tonsils). Urinary tract infection: pyelonephritis, complicated urinary tract infection, etc. Reproductive system infections: prostatitis, epididymitis, uterine cavity infection, uterine adnexitis, pelvic inflammatory disease (metronidazole can be used in combination when anaerobic bacterial infection is suspected). Skin and soft tissue infections: impetigo contagiosum, cellulitis, lymphangitis (node), subcutaneous abscess, perianal abscess, etc. Intestinal infections: bacillary dysentery, infectious enteritis, Salmonella enteritis, typhoid fever and paratyphoid fever, etc. Other infections: Trauma
